Pleasanton, California
Pleasanton is located between Livermore and San Francisco. It has access to all the tourist amenities of San Francisco with just a short ride on the Bay Area Transit but it doesn't have San Francisco's traffic and parking difficulties. It is also an easy commute for students that live in Livermore, CA, the location of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory LLNL.
